Fred Dunlap

Fred became CEO of XLHealth in 2008. XLHealth provided innovative chronic care solutions for Medicare beneficiaries and providers that encouraged management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart failure. The company grew revenue from $600 million in 2007 to $2.1 billion in 2012; it was then acquired by UnitedHealth Group for $2.4 billion in February 2012, producing a seven-fold return for its investors in just four years. Fred’s career has included leadership roles at some of the largest health insurers – Cigna, UnitedHealth, Amerigroup – as well as private equity backed firms like XLHealth and Concentra. He’s an expert in Medicare, Workers Compensation, and corporate turnarounds.
