PE GI Solutions (formerly Physicians Endoscopy), then led by long-time CEO Barry Tanner, explored strategic alternatives to support its growth strategy driven by both denovo development and acquisitions. Kelso & Company acquired the Company in August, 2016 and Guidon Partners participated as minority co-investor in the recapitalization. Greg Roth, Tom McDonough and Tim McDonald led assessment and recommendation to co-invest, which was endorsed by the Guidon Partners Investment Committee based in part on Company’s track record of successfully partnering with practicing physicians to develop freestanding ACSs which remain attractively positioned as low-cost, high-quality sites of service for GI procedures. Greg Roth was appointed to the PE GI Solutions Board.
